| I am a divemaster with over 500 dives and the majority of them have
been in Cozumel. I have dived Belize, Bonaire and Papua New Guinea
all of which were wonderful. My favorite dive destination remains to
be Cozumel. Diving in Cozumel offers excellent drift diving with a
nice mix of shallow reef diving and deeper wall diving. Cozumel is
easy to get to, has great restaurants, is low on crime and harbors
some of the nicest and friendliest locals in the world. Our
favorite dive operation is Caribbean Divers. I have logged 142 dives
with them and plan on logging many more. They have two large boats
that offer you a day long experience with comfortable diving. They
offer service to every type of diver from beginner to expert. There
boats are not "cattle boats". There is always a reasonable amount of
divers. There crew is unparalleled. A snack is provided during your
surface interval, which is more like a lunch, usually consisting of
fruit and a sandwich from the local bakery along with a beverage. A
day with Caribbean Divers is a safe and unhurried day experience on
the beautiful reefs of Cozumel.
If you prefer a fast boat I would encourage you to try Dive with
Alison (www.scubawithalison.com).
Alison taught my family to dive and was my rescue diver Instructor.
She has been on the Island of Cozumel since 1992. She has worked at
other dive operators as an Instructor for many years before starting
her own dive operation. Alison will provide you with a personal
touch that is hard to find.
There are many good dive operations in Cozumel but these two are
ones that Lynn and I personally recommend with confidence that you,
as our guest, will be pleased with. |
